Elizan Morales, lcsw
Taking his pedagogical roots, Elizan in 2010, applied his Master of Science in General/Special Elementary Education towards case managing adolescents living with emotional and behavioral challenges. Later, in 2014, Elizan worked with adults living with persistent and severe mental health challenges at Hunterdon Behavioral Health. In 2018, Elizan graduated from Rutgers University with a master’s degree in social work with an emphasis on mental and behavioral health.
Elizan’s therapeutic style is that of Supportive Psychotherapy. Other psychotherapeutic therapies embraced are techniques that stem from cognitive behavioral therapy.
Since 2019, Elizan’s areas of specialization include: relationship challenges, anxiety and depression, race/cultural/identity challenges, faith-based counseling, self-esteem challenges, anger management, phase of life challenges, stress management, and parenting challenges. Other areas of experience include young adults (18-25 yrs.), bipolar disorders, LGBTQ+ challenges, trauma, addiction challenges, adjustment challenges, and grief/loss.
